Marketing in 2012 using Blogs

With a week down in 2012, I decided it was time to talk about the future of what we are going to see in regards to products and social media.  Many people are turning to personal blogs to share their opinions on politics, products, brands, and more.  This shift is going to drive a shift away from a materials driven economy to one that values longevity. Think about it: more people have … [Read more...]

Logging Life on Android

It is interesting to me how much feedback that you can get from your smartphone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and I like to keep track of many aspects of my life.  Specifically, I track my calorie intake as well as my sleep schedule.  I am going to review the apps that I use to keep track of this information. One of the apps that I use to track my calorie intake is Noom Weight Loss … [Read more...]

If you fail to plan, plan to fail.

If you fail to plan, plan to fail. -George N. Parks There is so much beauty in these words that speaks so much truth.  Being prepared is important for so many life situations, and George Parks’ starred thought captures it beautifully. It’s amazing to me how often people fail to plan for things in life, and leave so many variables in the air.  I’ve always been a planner, and have … [Read more...]

The one resolution I haven’t kept yet

I’ve been doing a great job of sticking to most of my resolutions, but there is one that I haven’t been able to manage.  I haven’t been able to keep sleep under control, and I’m getting about 5 hours per night because of the sole fact that I am so busy.  It’s hard to get back to a standard sleep schedule after being so flexible during school vacation week. Today I am following the … [Read more...]

Deciding on Car to Purchase in 2012

As you may have read in my previous posts on the Ford Fusion Hybrid quest, I’m in the market for a new car.  However, it is super difficult being a new graduate living on a teacher’s salary while paying other obligations.  As a science teacher, I believe it imperative that we get the most out of our cars that we can, and hybrid technology will definitely be a requirement in my future … [Read more...]

The National Defense Authorization Act was signed into law on December 31st, 2011, and takes away rights of American citizens suspected of being terrorists.  Which rights am I talking about?  The first is the 6th amendment, which as a refresher is that you are entitled counsel.  The other right dates back before the Magna Carta and was taken when writing the Suspension Clause in … [Read more...]

New Years Resolutions

It is now 2012, and one of those lovely traditions is to set New Years Resolutions- those promises that very few individuals keep for long term change.  For transparency sake, I decided that I am going to post my resolutions up here and keep track of them throughout the year, and see what goals I actually keep.  So without further adieu, I give you my New Years 2012 resolutions! … [Read more...]

Cuisinart Griddler Review

Image Courtesy of Amazon.com For Christmas 2011, I received a Cuisinart Griddler Gourmet (GRID-8NPC) from my girlfriend’s family.  Previously, I had been using a George Foreman grill.  The Griddler is perhaps the best in home cooking grill that I have used, and in this article I will discuss why I say that. The Cuisinart Griddler, despite having a kind of ridiculous name, is well … [Read more...]

Reddit Users to use Go Daddy Success and target Congress

Reddit did a great job on mobilizing the fight to boycott Go Daddy.  In fact, I was so inspired by many of the redditors contributions that I made a post talking about which companies I will be boycotting because of their SOPA support.  I just can’t stand and let the Stop Online Piracy Act get passed into law so America doesn’t lose its first amendment rights. Reddit users have come up … [Read more...]
