For Christmas 2011, I received a Cuisinart Griddler Gourmet (GRID-8NPC) from my girlfriend’s family. Previously, I had been using a George Foreman grill. The Griddler is perhaps the best in home cooking grill that I have used, and in this article I will discuss why I say that.
The Cuisinart Griddler, despite having a kind of ridiculous name, is well thought out. So far, we’ve used it to make Panini and grilled cheese sandwiches. It also grills up meat very nicely. It’s nice to have the versatility of a panini press as well as a grill. It’s so versatile that it’s going to replace some of the previous items I was using to cook, including the Sanyo HPS-SG4 and George Foreman grills that I have been using for the last couple of years.
I think the best advantage of the Cuisinart Griddler is the fact that it is super easy to clean up. The easy clean up feature is what makes me so positive towards the Griddler. While the previous grills I talked about did a fine job grilling up just about anything I placed on them, they were a huge pain to clean up. With the Griddler, I am able to take the grilles off, rinse them under the sink, and clean up anything that dripped in the tray. No longer do I have to use a sponge for 20 minutes on the George Foreman. Griddler, I’m glad we met in 2011, and I’m super excited to stay friends with you through the New Year.
